Mexican Organization
Niños Alpha
Each year, Beca MONA awards students in Mexico scholarships of $100 USD each to help with school supplies, books, transportation and other scholarly needs. Each of the recipients demonstrates a talent or success in one aspect of their lives.
Our goal is to motivate students and their respective families by promoting the importance of education through eliminating obstacles they may face.
MONA is an organization created by Hada Rodriguez and her family.

About Us
After her three daughters graduated from college, our founder continued to give financial aid to other students in hopes of supporting their ambition. After doing this for a few years, she turned her attention to her hometown in Jalisco, Mexico. She realized that the highest drop-out rate back home was not during high-school, in fact, kids as young as 9 years old are leaving school to help their families with work and household duties. Once the COVID-19 pandemic occurred, these children faced even more hardships as they were losing resources, funds, and even family. These events inspired our foundation and after three years of collecting funds and donating, we decided to open the door for others to help as well.
Our family has brought together a community of empowering and caring individuals that have brought this foundation to life. We are striving to reach more of those that, like us, want to make an impact in the world through the eyes of future generations.

Meet the Team
Hada Rodriguez, B.S.N
As the founder of Beca MONA, I am passionate about empowering children and youth to reach their full potential. With many years of experience working with underprivileged communities, I have witnessed firsthand the impact that education and support can have on a child's life.
Born in Autlan and raised in Tecomates Jalisco. I was inspired by my own experiences and those of my community to create an organization that would provide opportunities for those who need them most. Through Beca MONA, I aim to make a lasting difference in the lives of children and families, and to inspire a brighter future for generations to come.
When I'm not working on Beca MONA, I work as Public Health Nurse in San Bernardino County. You can find me visiting the nature or creating experiences. I am grateful for the support of my loved ones, colleagues, and community, and I look forward to continuing this important journey together.

The concept of this scholarship was introduced to me during my final years of college. With a very clear and recent understanding of the impact that financial strain can have on one's education, I began helping my mother create the foundation for this non-profit. As we approach the fourth year of awarding scholarships, I can only patiently wait and see what all the children will grow up to be. Having grown up in Mexico myself, I can confidently say that those first years held the most influence in my decision to pursue a math-based college major, since math was the one subject that directly translated and made me feel safe in school in a new country. That confidence is essential in the motivation of young minds, hence why my family and I will continue to put our best efforts to inspire these families to endure any obstacles we may not be able to help with, and continue prioritizing the education of the future generations.

Our mission is to provide support, education, and resources to those in need, fostering well-being and empowerment for all. Thank you for being a part of our journey toward creating lasting change for children in need.

I am a passionate advocate for education, and as a secretary for this incredible non-profit, I’m thrilled to help provide opportunities for underprivileged youth in Mexico. As a nurse, I know firsthand the life-changing impact of scholarships—without the support and sponsorship of others, I wouldn’t have been able to pursue my degree. I’ve always believed education is the key to unlocking potential, and I’m proud to be part of an organization that empowers the next generation. When I’m not working, you can find me baking cookies, watching a good romantic comedy movie or show, playing chess or sudoku, or spending time in nature with family and friends. I’m all about balancing hard work with the simple joys of life!
